Object identifiers


SNMP object identifiers (OIDs) point to network objects, which are  stored in Management information Base (MIB).

Object identifiers in SNMP (OID) is an address used to identify devices and their statuses.

For example:

If we are reading temperature sensors from an network device, that means there is an OID available for it.
