CASE STUDY: “MICROSOFT AZURE”

 

·         Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing platform and infrastructure created by Microsoft for building, deploying and managing application and services through a global network of  Microsoft managed data centers.

 

·         It released on 1 February 2010 as windows azure, before being renamed to Microsoft azure on 25 March 2014.

 

·         Microsoft azure provides both PaaS (Platform as a service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a service).

 

·         It support many different programming languages, tools and frameworks, including both Microsoft specific and third party software and systems.

 

·         Microsoft azure is the brainstorm of Platform as a Service (PaaS).

 

·         Microsoft azure has mainly three parts:storage, scalable computing and the base fabric to hold everything together across a heterogeneous network.

 

·         Microsoft’s Windows Azure Platform provides a familiar and flexible environment to drive and support specific needs and services of the development team, customers and users.

 

·         Microsoft azure is developed by Microsoft.

 

·         Windows Azure platform comprises the following:-

                               I.            Windows Azure

                            II.            Microsoft  SQL Azure

                         III.            Windows Azure Platform appFabric

 

·         Microsoft Azure is an integrate public cloud applications with your existing IT environment.
